Joana Baptista is number three on the mayor's list for the Lisbon city council.
Carlos Moedas's number three candidate for the Lisbon city council is Joana Baptista, the current Oeiras councilwoman responsible for urban hygiene. In Isaltino Morais's administration, Joana Baptista is the champion of "working lunches" targeted by the Public Prosecutor's Office.
Between 2017 and 2023, he ate 450 meals paid for by the municipality, surpassing Isaltino's 302, usually featuring seafood or fresh coastal fish. The expenses amounted to thousands of euros. For most of these meals, his main dining companion was Irina Lopes, Isaltino's assistant.
In addition to being a councilor, Joana Baptista is a member of the board of directors of the intermunicipal company SIMAS Oeiras e Amadora, responsible for water distribution and basic sanitation in both municipalities. She has already been named as a candidate to succeed Isaltino, who is running for a final term as mayor of Oeiras in the upcoming local elections.
Before the list of the coalition 'Por Ti, Lisboa', which unites PSD, CDS and Iniciativa Liberal, was announced, Carlos Moedas, candidate for a second term as mayor of Lisbon, had already said that he wanted "to have a great councilor for urban hygiene."
